Washing Your Fabric

We recommend washing all of our 100% cotton fabrics on cold/cold using the delicate cycle on your washing machine. Then dry on delicate or hand to dry. Once your fabric is dry, we like to iron it with a little spritz of water and medium heat to get out all of the wrinkles. And yes…you do need to wash your fabric before starting =) There is nothing worse than completing a project and then it is ruined after the first wash!

Finding the Grain

When you are ready to start cutting your fabric, we like to put the right sides together and line up your selvedges. If your cut edge has become a little un-even after you wash your fabric, I like to even it up before beginning to cut. We always give a little extra when we cut your fabric to help with shrinkage.
